SAERTEX multiComeback: ONE WEEK AFTER THE MAJOR FIRE
One week after the major fire at SAERTEX multiCom GmbH in Saerbeck, all employees met for an informational meeting in the dry production hall on February, 01st 2018. This area was almost spared by the fire. During the one-hour event, the shareholders and managing directors made a clear commitment to SAERTEX multiCom.
The management looked at more than 100 concerned faces when the informational meeting started with photos from the major fire at the warehouse and production hall. "Above all, we are glad that no one was injured and the evacuation of the morning shift was exemplary. We will rebuild the affected part of the production as soon as possible, so that we can quickly reinstate the colleagues from SAERTEX multiCom!", says Frank Mersmann, Managing Director of SAERTEX multiCom: "We have been there since last Friday, with the SAERTEX multiComeback action team to develop new concepts. The cleanup is in full swing."
Exactly 24 hours after the beginning of the fire, the administration and a small team started to inform employees and business partners, updating them regularly about the current status. In addition, other teams have been working for a short-term comeback, including in the areas of building and technology. Stephan Raab, Head of Sales in Europe and Africa, is proud of his colleagues: "If everyone continues to pull together in this way, we have great opportunities to be able to deliver again, in part, in the beginning of April. Our house connection liner in DN 150 can be ordered again at CW 07/2018. I am very impressed by the dynamism and motivation of the SAERTEX multiCom family!"
