SAERTEX^® IN SAERBECK IS CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO DIN EN ISO 14001

SAERTEX is now certified according to the environmental management standard DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 at its Saerbeck site. The certification covers both parts of the company: SAERTEX GmbH & Co KG with its lightweight materials and the subsidiary SAERTEX multiCom GmbH, which manufactures GRP pipe liners for trenchless pipe rehabilitation. With the certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001, the SAERTEX GROUP has now successfully implemented its years of optimization in terms of sustainability in an internationally recognized management system standard.

Double Materiality Assessment

In 2025, we conducted a comprehensive Double Materiality Assessment to identify the sustainability issues that are most important to the company and its stakeholders. The aim was to systematically assess both the impact of our business activities on the environment and society and the financial opportunities and risks associated with sustainability. The analysis was based on the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and formed the basis for the strategic development of sustainability activities.

Over 2,000 Meters of SAERTEX-LINER H₂O in Andalusia

Together with the Spanish rehabilitation company Grupo Canalis, we rehabilitated a 2,200-meter drinking water pipeline in one of Spain’s most popular tourist regions using a trenchless method. Within just three weeks, 14 installation sections ranging from 32 to 196 meters were successfully renewed with the SAERTEX-LINER H₂O.

New Managing Director in China introduced

At the beginning of February 2025, SAERTEX multiCom introduced Michael Ellenrieder as the new Managing Director in China. With immediate effect, he has taken over the management of the new production site in Pinghu, where the company produces its SAERTEX LINERS for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Sustainability is an integral part of the corporate culture at SAERTEX multiCom and embedded in its DNA. Trenchless pipe rehabilitation using SAERTEX-LINERS makes a valuable contribution to protecting the precious resource of drinking water. Beyond this, the company is committed to its sustainability strategy, contributing to a sustainable future and a responsible society. This strategy is built on three pillars: socially fair, ecologically responsible, and economically efficient actions. With the EcoVadis Platinum Rating and the publication of five EPDs, SAERTEX multiCom has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainable solutions in trenchless pipe rehabilitation with GRP liners.
